don't worry, we can help you recover.
It looks like your chip may have ignored the erase command.
Can you please tell us the exact mainboard name and also send the output of lspci -nnvvvxxx (as root) to this list? Simply hit "reply all" in your mail program.

Failed at 0x00000000 is usually a good sign.
