Yes! Which version of flashrom are you using? In your logs, it says "unknown" version.
The crucial message in your logs is:
"Failed to apply new WP settings: WP operations are not implemented for this chip" and then also, as a consequence of this, another message: "Some block protection in effect, disabling... Block protection could not be disabled!"
WP support for this chip was added in v1.4.0 , if you have earlier version it won't be supported

Hi again,
So I finally got back to this and the version of flashrom I am using is v1.3.0-2.1. I am using Debian 12 Bookworm and when I try to update it says I have the newest version. Is there a way to get the most recent version on Debian 12?

Is there a way to get the most recent version on Debian 12?
Someone who is Debian maintainer who is packaging flashrom for Debian, can do that. I don't know this person, it would be great to meet them.
From our side, we have this public mailing list and all the information about releases is posted here. For example, yesterday was the post about v1.5 :)
