We could hack around that with an additional check #if defined(PCI_CAP_ID_HT), but that matches only 2.1.99-test6 and above which would fix your case but leave 2.1.99-test3 to 2.1.99-test5 unfixed. It's the best possible solution, though. Apparently Red Hat had forgotten the gcc 2.96 disaster and tried to repeat it with a beta libpci. Oh well. Regards, Carl-Daniel -- http://www.hailfinger.org/

Flashing of BIOS failed

Hi, I guess I did something I really shouldn't have done, namely testing if the write function of flashrom was working for my chip. I first read out my BIOS file, and everything seemed fine. Partial log included in this mail. And then the write sort of crashed and burned, log included. Anyway, the computer is on, hopefully until I can sort this mess out. System is Ubuntu 10.04 32-bit version, but running on an AMD64 chip. I used the flashrom I found via apt which was v0.9.1-r946 If you need more information and can hopefully help a stupid man, I would be very grateful. ---------------------------------------------------------------- This message was sent using IMP, the Internet Messaging Program.

patch to add support for Xilinx parallel III/DLC5 programmer cable

Hi list, I modified the rayer spi programmer source to be used with a Xilinx parallel III (also called DLC5) programmer cable. It's a trivial change of parallel port pins, but I did not know how the support for this cable should be included into the source code. Hi I am trying to mass update the BIOS on MB899 Intel ® CoreTM 2 Duo/CoreTM Duo/ Solo 945GM Mini-ITX Motherboard. I did compile the flashrom by following two modifications as I was getting errors for the global declaration . *Compilation errors* programmer.h:567: warning: declaration of 'programmer' shadows a global declaration board_enable.c: In function 'nvidia_mcp_gpio_set': board_enable.c:892: error: too few arguments to function 'pci_get_dev' *Compilation success with following changes.* *1. OK. Found chipset "Intel ICH7M". Enabling flash write... OK. This chipset supports the following protocols: FWH. Found SST flash chip "SST49LF004A/B" (512 kB, FWH) at physical address 0xfff80000. Flash image seems to be a legacy BIOS. Disabling coreboot-related checks. Reading old flash chip contents... done. Erasing and writing flash chip... ERASE FAILED at 0x00000000! Expected=0xff, Read=0x49, failed byte count from 0x00000000-0x00000fff: 0x3f7 ERASE FAILED! Reading current flash chip contents... done. ERASE FAILED at 0x00000000! Writing to the flash chip apparently didn't do anything. This means we have to add special support for your board, programmer or flash chip.
