thanks for your report. There are various reasons why this can happen.
It is not necessarily a sign that the board can not be upgraded with
flashrom. A verbose flashrom log could give some additional hints...

Thank you for your responce. I'll keep this in mind next time flashrom
comes to mind.

Attached is a verbose log using a read from BIOS. I hope that is what
you would like to see...
