I'm here because I maintain the flashrom package in pkgsrc.  I find
what's happened to be uncomfortable from expectations of good governance
-- I'm used to a project steering committee or board, at least for
projects of significant size.  That's not a statement for or against any
party and their past conduct -- it's just a comment about process.

I do not intend to engage, as I haven't and won't be participating other
than by packaging.
