another thing:
id like to output the maximum decode size for programmers (there are
so many ppl that got bitten by the "oh... 3com nics do only support
128 kB, sorry"-"bug" - including me).
most of the pci devices seem to have a fixed maximum anyway, but it is
only set at init to the global variable.
my proposal is to add the maximum size to the struct pcidev_status.
i have not looked at it in detail, but this might also be useful in
general (differentiate between chip revisions etc). OTOH there might be
dragons somewhere...
