Hi Peter,
it does not apply to the current version, but that's not the issue. It
seems like a simple hack that was not thought through completely and I
certainly won't merge it as is. IMHO the things mentioned in the
comment in internal.c below the single hunk needs to be addressed
first. I am not sure ATM what that even means and won't look into it
soon. Also, I don't think it would even work in its current form (no
programmer registration happens there that was introduced since the
original patch)...
