PCCHIPS M598LMR (V9.0) - OK

PCCHIPS M598LMR boards were incredibly popular in Brazil ~12 years ago. There were, as usual from PCCHIPS, several hardware revisions. Some I remeber are 1.3, 5.0, 6.0, and 9.0. The difference between them is not very clear, but as a general rule the latest BIOS (2K1222S.ROM) applies to all of them, with one exception: if it use an ASD AE29F2008 or Winbond W29C020 flash, the 2K1222S.ROM BIOS will *not* work (the board will not complete POST). In case you have one of those chips, you should use the 2K0930S.ROM BIOS which works fine. Mine has an ASD AE29F2008-12 flash (detected as "Winbond W29C020(C)/W29C022" by flashrom) and I successfully programmed the 2K0930S.ROM BIOS. Logs attached. Marcos

Alternatively a 2nd machine might help in performing a so-called hotswap. I've got no usage experience with CoreBoot (only reading their mailinglist archives), don't know if your board is supported at all (and if not, hopefully you've got a BIOS backup chip), and you're likely best off asking the Coreboot mailing list. Flashrom can often write Coreboot firmware, but also motherboard vendor firmware (bios/uefi). That might be one of the reasons that it's not that related/integrated to the Coreboot project anymore as it once was. Goodluck unbricking your BIOS. Some experimenting inside of QEMU might work, pity there's no ready-to-run 'coreboot-linux' harddisk image file (or virtual machine) available for download, to run directly under QEMU.

I was flashed bios with coreboot and after that network card, usb, video card not working. flashrom not working too, it start flash bios and stop at probing chip. Can anybody help me? Mother board: http://www.gigabyte.ru/products/page/mb/ga-ma78gm-s2h_11
