hi, I am mainly interested in external flashers(for permitting people to flash coreboot) and did 2 flashers: 1) I did a hardware flasher for my bug device (made by buglabs): http://wiki.buglabs.net/index.php/SPI_Flash_Programmer , people in the #flashrom IRC channel fixed linux_spi for me so it could work (the fix are already in the svn of flashrom). I'd like to link to that wiki page. 2)I did an arduino uno based flasher which I'd like to document on the wiki, The source code is available here for now: https://gitorious.org/gnutoo-personal-arduino-projects/serprog- duino/blobs/master/serprog.c (if there is a better place to host it just tell me). I'd like to document the hardware and software setup. PS: I've also an openmoko debug board and a coreboot mainboard, both already supported by flashrom. Denis.

Good morning, I contact you for a problem of corrupted bios on my motherboard, unfortunately I made the flash via windows xp, and after I received an error, I restart the PC with the screen remains black. I would like to know if there is some procedure to restore the bios, or some alternative system of flash chips. Best regards.

Hello, I try to make the flashrom works using an ponyprog2000 like hardware programmer for SPI EEPROMs. My work add a simple serial programmer, called "pony_spi" and still do not detect right the flash connected to programmer. To note that a modified ponyprog2000 know to read the flash (an W25X40 from an EEEPC701), even it not have right support for erase/write. Details about that hardware: http://www.lancos.com/siprogsch.html Compared with the original programmer, my programmer have some changes: 1. There is support for 5 and 3.3 Vcc SPI EEPROMs. 2. CS# pin is not inverted, just limited to 5/3.3V. 3. MISO pin is inverted by an transistor, to translate MISO from 3.3 to 5V levels. All the best, Virgil-Adrian Teaca.
