Hi Raghu, I've seen similar symptoms when on laptops when embedded controller (EC) interactions interfere. Delay loop calibration can be interfered if the EC is spamming the host chipset with SCIs (check dmesg output and see if the kernel complains about interrupt storms or some such). Also, if the EC and chipset BIOS share a SPI chip, then the EC might attempting to accessing the SPI chip at the same time and interfering. You may need to consult your mainboard vendor and ask them if there is an "update mode" command you can use to prevent it from interfering with your SPI chip. Also, your chipset might be configured to target the LPC bus instead of the SPI bus. Please post the verbose output using the -V flag. You can paste it at http://paste.flashrom.org.

Hello, there is the latest patch for PONY_SPI. So, pony_spi accept these parameters: dev=/dev/ttyUSB0 "dev" is an required parameter. type=si_prog -> default Si-Prog / Ponyprog compat type=serbang -> my little programmer "type" is an optional parameter, with default to "si_prog". Also, now pony_spi is able to detect if it have on serial port an SI-Prog compatible programmer. And it insist to have it, to work. The detection is simple, using the standard on SI-Prog, RTS/DSR ping-back. All the best, Virgil.

Unable to update the bios

Hello Experts, I have compiled the latest flashrom 0-9.5 source and tried to update the bios in the flash on our board, but I see the board gets hanged after executing the flashrom commands. But I don't see these errors in the reference board.
