adding Microchip 93(L)C76/86 support...

Hello, I've been examining the source of flashrom in order to add support for Microchip 93C76/86 chips (used in Subaru ECUs - https://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/21132F.pdf ... I have a simple bit-blaster project I use for this on my Arduino, but I'd like to add it to your project since I see the support is missing, and using flashrom with a ch314 is a lot easier for my workflow. The communication protocol of this chip does not match LPC or SPI, it has its own timing diagram and commands (and the pinout is weird VCC/GND aren't in the usual places). It is SPI-like, but not completely. Before I get started, did I overlook something in the code, this seems like a very common chip? Also, do you have an advice I should know before I start thwacking around in the source? Thanks! (Also, thanks for such a simple makefile and none of the usual autoconf hassle) Peter

[PATCH] VIA VL805 support

VIA VL805 support, first draft. No idea if it actually works. It is highly likely that SPI accesses with a readcnt not being a multiple of 4 will return incorrect data due to the unknown encoding of the register containing SPI responses of the chip. That will be obvious from any verbose log, though, and once I have such data, adjusting the code is trivial. Reverse engineered based on PCI traces created by cleverca22 on a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B. RFC, with some unrelated (automatic programmer driver writer) and some related changes (buggy PCI patch reverted). In case someone is feeling less brave, I also have a version which aborts early after the init sequence. I wanted to update the BIOS on my Aser Aspire 3 A315-41 laptop using your flashrom utility, but I got this message: flashrom v1.1 on Linux 5.3.12-2-default (x86_64) flashrom is free software, get the source code at https://flashrom.org Using clock_gettime for delay loops (clk_id: 1, resolution: 1ns). No DMI table found. Found chipset "AMD FP4". Enabling flash write ... Disabling read write protection of flash addresses from 0xffafa000 to 0xffb4cfff failed. FCH device found but SMBus revision 0x61 does not match known values. Please report this to [flashrom@flashrom.org](https://e.mail.ru/compose?To=flashrom@flashrom.org) and include this log and the output of lspci -nnvx, thanks !. I am running into issues reading the SPI off of a MW0100R. This is a RTL8711AM SoC. I am not able to see the chip. However, flashrom is detecting it as a Atmel. According to the fcc documentation on the MW0100R the flash should be 1024kB. This is being read from a raspberry pi 3b+ via the SPI header pins. Any assistance would be appreciated... Thank you.
