Hello flashrom, Here's my summation, 1) programmer is identified correctly 2) rom spi chip is identified correctly 3) rom spi chip seems erase correctly 4) verify fails This most likely means the write failed. All bytes from the read of the rom spi chip are 0xFF. There is also the message Your flash chip is in an unknown state. I'm trying to flash the rom on an HP Envy 20 (model 20-d034) as oxide suggests here: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Video-Display-and- Touch/HP-Envy-20-Black-Screen-On-Startup/m-p/5715628#M89817 However, I am getting this error when trying to create a backup or read the rom. Hello, I am new to flash rom and I am trying to flash the FM25F04 chip. I am using this programmer https://github.com/JiapengLi/usbprog with teensy 3.2 and it comes to point saying "generic flash chip found (RDID)" but does not read or write to it.I am doing this in windows. But later I tried the arduino Due itself as suggested in usbprog but it does not start flashing into it but gets stuck. Could someone please tell me how to get this working. Ranjan
