BayTrail Soc device 0f1c does not work

Hi Mohammed, With regard to the EC flash failure, please see issue #38103 on the bug tracker. It might have something to do with the way the EC jumps from one copy to another. With regard to the image size mismatch, you may need to specify which SPI ROM you are targeting using a programmer parameter. Much of what you ask for can probably be found in OpenOCD (openocd.org). It's worth noting that the LM4 is used in some Chromebooks. Hello, I was trying to Flash in the ec.bin and Image.bin of the WW-18 BKC, I get the error as "EC returned error result code 4 cros_ec_need_2nd_pass() failed. Stop Your Flashchip is in an unknown state. Contact flashrom(a)flashrom.org<mailto:flashrom@flashrom.org> Donot Reboot or Shutdown" When trying to Flash with the DVT PO ec and Image provided with Servo Board I get the Error as "Image Size doesn't match: Stat 4194304 bytes, wanted 524288" I was hoping I could get some help on what to do. BayTrail Soc device 0f1c does not work

Hi I played with flashrom and BayTrail Soc to read/flash the bios settings. When I try : flashrom -p internal -r e3815bios.bin then I get: Aborting. Error: Programmer initialization failed. The flashrom version is 0.9.8 and when I list the device with -L flashrom shows: flashrom -L | grep Bay Intel Bay Trail 8086:0f1c OK Intel Bay Trail 8086:0f1d Untested Intel Bay Trail 8086:0f1e Untested Intel Bay Trail 8086:0f1f Untested Dmesg | grep 0f1c shows [ 0.607058] pci 0000:00:1f.0: [8086:0f1c] type 00 class 0x060100 so the device are present. Any idea what is going wrong or what can I do to get flashrom to work. With best regards, Alexander

hi, this is a wonderful project can u also support chips like renesas h8s/2117 d4f2117LP also ti arm cortex m4 LM4FS1AH5BBCIG USED IN MACBOOK. also can we access flashrom through usb port jtag while machine is partial dead state. thanks mani

Newbie with Questions, HP2000 B IOS, Nexus Tablets

New to the list, I have a Laptop HP2000z-300 running Ubuntu needs BIOS upgrade, also Nexus 7 WIFI and Mobile (2013) want to install Ubuntu Touch on. I check the hardware compatibility list and thought it was vague for the HP. I've installed Flashrom and the install appears to have gone correctly. Unfortunately I have a problem interpreting man pages. I've downloaded the BIOS upgrade from HP, but can't open it with Archive Manager. I have 30 years experience (started with CP/M) working with PC computers. Flashrom would b e great if it will work with all my devices. Best regards, Larry

flash failed on Chromebook C7

Howdy, The power saving kicked in and it powered in. When it came back up, it still booted and said I needed to install the recovery USB drive, which I did. So, there is no emergency. Before I try again, it would be nice to know what I did wrong, or should do differently. If you have a suggestion, please let me know.
