[PATCH 0/4] Port serprog to Windows

No idea why we did that... Idwer got me started and this came out. Tested with my AVR flasher on Ubuntu, compile tested with MinGW. Stefan Tauner (4): Replace sp_sync_read_timeout() with serialport_read_nonblock(). Introduce serialport_write_nonblock(). Replace native calls in serprog with wrapper calls. Enable serprog on Windows. Need help with failed flash. part 2.1

I'm sorry there went something wrong in my last answer. I wanted to send the following text: Ok I have tried to use bcpvpd but it was not working because of an incorrect input file format. So I have done the following steps now: 1. Extract the .wph file from Bios .exe file (result see my last answer) 2. Loading the .wph file into Phoenix WinPhlash v1.7.16.0 to get some more information about the Bios (see attached log file) 3. Decompressed the .wph file with PhoenixTool v2.11 into several single Bios module files. I guess it is the same what bcpvpd would have done. So it seems you are right that the Bios file is compressed because the folder of extracted wph has a size of 2.497 KB which nearly match the chip size. You can check the other 2 attached log files (one is the decompressing log and the other one the folder structure). So at last I just need to know now how I can merge the needed decompressed files back into a flashable ROM file. Can someone help me? I hope the log files give some more information. ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 - EN25F64 - erase and write tested

Hi, at first I want to thank everybody working on flashrom and coreboot. I really appreciate your work. I have ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 motherboard and I got message: "This flash part has status UNTESTED for operations: ERASE WRITE" Because I have also a spare chip, I tested this operations with the original one and it seems working - my computer is able to boot after erasing the chip and writing the ROM image :-) Original chip is Eon "EN25F64" (8192 kB, SPI). Hello Marc-Alexandre, thanks for your report, but flashrom won't work on that machine anytime soon (or ever). I have added the board to our list of (un)supported boards (with an appropriate note) and will commit that later together with other small changes.
