As for the nographics patch: The decision byte is at the moment gained from somewhere down obio.c if I read this correctly. The decision is then made in romvec.c. This is a little bit nasty.
It would be nicer to handle this cleanly binding the functionality to the device nodes/drivers.
You're right. I moved the decision point to obio.c for console device and also to boot.c for the boot device selection.

Sorry, but I don't have any Solaris install media. My main interest is on Linux, occasionally I give a shot at the BSDs.
By the way, Qemu 0.8.2 was released two days ago. That version introduced OpenBIOS as the Sparc32 boot prom, congratulations!
