Hi all,
General question: I have been googling OpenBIOS, LinuxBIOS and FreeBIOS a bit, but I'm a little confused about the connection between them. Perhaps someone can clarify this for me?
Specific questions: I have a Lippert Cool RoadRunner II (CRR2) board, consisting of a National Geode (GX1), a CX5530 and a 256KB Flash BIOS. It is set-up with a compact flash card (connected to the primary EIDE on the board). I would like it to boot up directly into Linux or RTEMS (*fast*). With the current BIOS, I have boot-time (reset to bootloader start) of approx 6 seconds. Any recommendations? Should I stick with the current BIOS? Should I use one or the other Linux-/Open-/Free-BIOS? Any experience with this chipset-combination? How much work would you think is needed to get it to work?
Thanks

If I know, thought Boards use a hardcodes bootloader, like jamon or same simular. By the way, 6 s are fast.

This board was supported as the cool roadrunner under V1 of linuxbios.

boot *to linux* under linuxbios was about 5 seconds. Is that fast enough, or ...

Perfect, how comes it is not in the new version?

By *to linux* I take you mean: to user-application starts to load!? If thats the case, it's 5 seconds from perfection ;-) Not bad :-)
