Hi all !
I'm looking at the OpenBIOS project for a relatively long time and it's very interesting to me. So may be I can help in project development ? I probably can work on any subsystem which not directly works with hardware - it can be built-in configuration tool, boot monitor, BIOS16 implementation, etc. I understand that now project in vary early state, but probably design of such relatively high-level subsystems can also be useful.
Regards, Victor
P.S. Sorry for my english...
Hello Victor,
Although I can't speak for everyone, I'm pretty sure we can use the help. Right now it seems that no one knows what to do next, so a bit of coordination is what we need right now.
I would like a list with the names of all the people that are interested in working on this project, their field of interest and perhaps also their email address. This would help a lot when coordinating our resources.
Btw. I find it a bit peculiar that our beloved leader, Stefan Reinauer, have posted nearly nothing on this list. What do you see as your main task on this project, Stefan?

Dear Niklas, dear OpenBIOS-Readers/-Hackers!
I know that my project management for the OpenBIOS project is not what one would expect even for a hobby project. I still could not manage to finnish my work here which is lasting more than a month longer than I expected. The problem is that I signed a really hard contract about writing a book and finnishing the project last month. Because I am still working at this thing (And I am working mostly in 48h sessions), I am not able to do any wordworth work in this project right now. It's true that all you hear from me right now are some promises about what will be in near future - I hope this mismanagement of mine won't bring you to leave this project. I got a complete testing environment now and I got lots of example code from different people including Niklas, andic@altavista.com, Daniel Engstroem, Phillip Rumpf and some others.
Since I must finnish the book project until the end of this week under all circumstances, my time of inactivity will not last that long anymore.
To the question what I see is my task in this project: I'd like to have a complete overview of the project, be an advisor for anyone who wants to help this project and I'd like to control releases of the code since this can guarantee that no code is written twice and that the project wont split into several groups.
Any flames are welcome... :-)
Best regards, Stefan
