Hi,
I hopeing somebody can help me.
I'm trying to get Solaris 10 SPARC to run in QEMU running on Windows XP SP2 (x32) and I'm getting nowhere. Has anybody been able to get this to work?
I've read QEMU manual, and looked high and low on the forums. I've googled tons of stuff and I'm still completely lost. The only thing I found was this:
http://osdir.com/ml/bios.openbios/2006-06/msg00019.html
Which looks like somebody else has tried to do this too. Please help.
Thanks Mike

I think Solaris 10 is only available for V9 class CPUs (Sparc64), right? There are still bugs in the Sparc64 system emulation in Qemu as well as Sparc64 support for OpenBIOS.
Even older Solaris that could run on V8 or Sparc32 CPUs was reported to crash early in the boot. Now that some very obscure bugs were fixed this week which prevented NetBSD and OpenBSD from booting, the situation may be improved.
