Hi all,
General question: I have been googling OpenBIOS, LinuxBIOS and FreeBIOS a bit, but I'm a little confused about the connection between them. Perhaps someone can clarify this for me?
Specific questions: I have a Lippert Cool RoadRunner II (CRR2) board, consisting of a National Geode (GX1), a CX5530 and a 256KB Flash BIOS. It is set-up with a compact flash card (connected to the primary EIDE on the board). I would like it to boot up directly into Linux or RTEMS (*fast*). With the current BIOS, I have boot-time (reset to bootloader start) of approx 6 seconds. Any recommendations? Should I stick with the current BIOS? Should I use one or the other Linux-/Open-/Free-BIOS? Any experience with this chipset-combination? How much work would you think is needed to get it to work?
Thanks
