Thank you very much. Applied. Where does it hang now?
Linux version 2.4.27-2-sparc32-smp (root@gimli) (gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-13)) #1 SMP Mon Aug 22 14:41:42 UTC 2005 ... devfs: boot_options: 0x0 pty: 256 Unix98 ptys configured Floppy drive(s): fd0 is 1.44M ioremap: done with statics, switching to malloc [hangs]
Linux version 2.2.19-6.2.16smp (root@bart32.devel.redhat.com) (gcc version egcs- 2.91.66 19990314/Linux (egcs-1.1.2 release)) #1 SMP Wed Mar 13 08:48:37 EST 2002 ... Linux version 2.2.17-14smp (root@lisa.devel.redhat.com) (gcc version egcs-2.91.6 6 19990314/Linux (egcs-1.1.2 release)) #1 SMP Mon Feb 5 17:50:05 EST 2001 ... And finally 'vmlinuz-smp-2.0.35-13', I can't remember where this was: [sparc] Kernel already loaded PROMLIB: obio_ranges 1 poke_swift: swift_is_tsparc=0 root child is ffd46a48 Found CPU 0 <node=ffd4ffb4,mid=0> Found CPU 1 <node=ffd502f8,mid=1> [hangs, doesn't start the other cpu]
The problem could be in Qemu's interrupt controller emulation (inter-CPU interrupts not working) or serial port (2.2 series get to userland with graphical console).
