How do you plan on disabling the onboard FlashBIOS chip?
That's the easy part: remove it. However, there are some boards out there that use those damn SMT flashes. For development, it's probably a good idea to stay away from these boards.
That doesn't seem so easy to me. On all the motherboards I've got, the FlashROM chip is soldered directly on the motherboard.
You can try to cut the "ChipEnable"-Pin. But not always a good idea to play with your mainboard. :)
