[flashrom] Flashrom stuck using 100% cpu while probing for a chip

It seems there is a problem with the SPI bus/controller on your machine.
Can you run

flashrom -c A25L05PT -VVV

and attach/paste the output?

I have a debugging patch somewhere which checks for timeouts. Maybe I
can dig it up again.
