output.c is compiled into all three modes (16bit, 32bit flat, and
32bit segmented) - see the SRCBOTH define in the Makefile.  This is
done so that all three modes can access the dprintf code.

In any case, it's fine to call both snprintf and printf in
bootsplash.c/smbios.c.
