AFAICS this SSD uses the "ATA Download Microcode" command. On Linux, you
can probably use
hdparm --fwdownload
to update the firmware of your SSD. No warranty, though, and I have no
idea if you can use the firmware image as-is or if you have to
patch/edit it first.

This also means flashrom is not the right tool for your SSD.
