It wasn't for any of these tests, but it is right now. I put it back
to confirm it still works properly (in case I had damaged it)

The pads on the original board might not last if I desolder and
resolder a couple more times... so I've bought some SOP->DIP breakout
boards that should arrive in a couple of days.
I suppose I could just etch my own if there's any suggestions or
further tests in the mean time.

That's the firmware I'm using. The latest from their google code
downloads page, dated August 2012 - "BPv3-firmware-v6.2-r1981.hex"
