So you try to use a firmware image that is not exactly the size of the
flash chip. This almost always indicates that you are using the wrong
file or that it needs some preparation before it can be used.
Where did you get that file from?
in the last update for the h55mx-s there is a .bin file that looks like
it should work:

try the file named 996F1P07.bin
