This makes it impossible to write the flash chip without interacting
with the BIOS (which requires documentation or reverse engineering).

even then this part of the flash can never be written from within the
system (it probably contains the bootblock and does not need to be
updated anyway).

But at least i can mark the flash chip as working for probing and
