To be more precise:
- the socket is for a DIP8 300mil
- the 8Mbit original flash chip is a MACRONIX MX25L8005PC-15G
- the 8Mbit replacement flashed chip is a WINBOND 25X80AVAIZ
- the 16Mbit replacement flashed chip is a MACRONIX MX25L1605DPI-12G
