Ah.  I'm in the midst of doing some system upgrades so I will upgrade to openSUSE 11.4 first so that I'll have the latest build of flashrom.  (11.2 won't be getting further updates.)  I'll report what I find!

at least i dont see anything in the log that would indicate that it
will not work. the flash chip is not supported in your version but was
added and tested ok later. your chipset is configured in a way that
does not hinder flashrom. the only thing that could be is that your
board needs a patch to deactivate the write protection as described here
http://flashrom.org/Board_Enable
not every board does need it though and it could be that your board
works out of the box. we would like to hear anyway ;)
