Fooled you :) No really, this is strange because it found a flash
device earlier.

Can you try the code from subversion ?
$ svn co svn://coreboot.org/flashrom/trunk flashrom
$ cd flashrom
$ make
$ sudo ./flashrom -Vw /path/to/75i65G_3.30
