Did you also write/erase the chip by any chance? If so, did it work? Can
you send the output of "flashrom -Vw foo.bin" in that case (where
foo.bin is the image you want to flash)?

Please also use the most recent version of flashrom if possible,
v0.9.1-r946 is pretty old now.
