The "IBM ThinkPad Embedded Controller -[ ... ]-" SMBIOS string?

That's the EC firmware build number and the EC interface functional
specification identifier, they are read from the EC at boot in
src/ec/lenovo/h8/h8.c h8_smbios_strings()
