if you use the integrated graphics, you don't need a VGA BIOS, there are
replacement options.

It depends on each board. We have three versions of Sandy/Ivy Bridge:
1. the original with mrc.bin blob by Google, 2. a reverse engineered
open source version and 3. one with FSP. Some boards support the former
two, some only one of the three.
