Unclear which bus pirate pins, but you need 5 connections to the
chip; GND SCK SI SO CS#

Don't connect a common power supply to the programmer and the mainboard,
only ground.

For most reliable operation, disconnect power cable and remove
battery. Keep laptop powered off. Connect programmer. Connect laptop
power cable but not battery. Run flashrom on second computer.
