Now before you consider purchasing an OLPC, please note that Uwe is
referring to alpha/beta OLPC hardware; the final mass-produced model
does not use LinuxBIOS, and the hardware has changed significantly
enough that it would take quite a bit of effort to get it to support
LinuxBIOS.

Don't give up hope:  a significant number of people (myself included)
would very much like to have a laptop that supports LinuxBIOS.  If
you're interested in making this happen, you might consider staying on
the mailing list and seeing what you can do to help LinuxBIOS in
general.
