You don't get closer to hw than coreboot, you can barely get geekier 
than coreboot. What you're hoping for here is as likely to happen as 
getting hit by lightning, and even when that happens, it's going to be 
over quickly, so why bother? Why not work on attracting more geeky 
people who like being close to hw?
