We have two different problems:
- Not enough developers for coreboot. Having more system data in a
database will not help at all. We need more developers to complete
existing targets or create new ones.
- Not enough system data for flashrom. That's why we tell people to test
flashrom and report success/failure.

I wrote such a script a few months ago and sent it to the list.

The best thing someone new to coreboot/flashrom can do easily is testing
flashrom everywhere. After that, the next step is to find a machine
supported by coreboot and install coreboot there. Entering real coreboot
development is difficult and comes later.
