By using Google I only found another forum post about the same model
saying that it has socketed BIOS ROM:

To actually verify it I assume I'd have to open up the laptop and
check myself, but I'm not really sure how to go about that or how to
find the correct chip if I do. :)
If there are some good instructions for doing stuff like this, I might
give it a try though...
