[LinuxBIOS] cant detect bios with flash software {Scanned}

ok when i run flashrom with -V i get the folloowing:-

As far as i can see its not showing the rom number :(
I cant seem to find a version number for flashrom, but it was downloaded via svn on 29 June (this year!!)
I am running this on 'Ubuntu 5.10 "Breezy Badger"' Kernel : 'Linux ubuntu 2.6.12-9-386 #1 Mon Oct 10 13:14:36 BST 2005 i686 GNU/Linux'
on an VIA EPIA-PD10000 m/board
