Hi nick, our experience with the emulator is that we have yet to see it 
run slower than real mode. Can you give it one more try?

I guess we can put the old support back if we really have to, but i'd 
like to avoid it. The old 'drop to x86 mode' support always worried me a 
bit.

Even your "slow" processor should run the emulation quite quickly.
