i845GV ddr init

(1) The bios from original MB have to handle registers
40~4F, but I check them in i845GV datasheet, they are
all intel reserved.  Where can I find information
about such intel reserved registers?
(2) what earlymtrr doing for?  Is it related to ddr
sdram init?
