So, I hope I've made the correct calculations, I write them here for
future reference:

SMA_SIZE values for different video ram sizes:

10000000b -> 0x80h (2MB/4MB)
10010000b -> 090xh (4MB/8MB)
10100000b -> 0A0xh (8MB/16MB)
10110000b -> 0B0xh (16MB/32MB)
11000000b -> 0C0xh (32MB/64MB)
11010000b -> 0D0xh (64MB/na)

What I don't understand now is the "double" size value (with the 'not
supported' value for 0xD0). What does it mean?

Interesting. But, I was asking to myself... how much time does the
hard-disk need to spin-up? I've made few tests and it seems quite fast,
only few seconds. How much time is it possible to gain with a CF ide
device? I have a small CF card, I should buy the CF-IDE adapter, but I
have no idea of the advantages it would bring to me.

Thank you for the exceptional work!
bye
