About 82810e north bridge

OK,
One more question, would the messages come up on the console if I
do not the initialize Graphical Controller HUB.
There is an option in the LinuxBIOS for VGA_CONSOLE or SERIAL_CONSOLE
to display messages on the screen.
Would VGA_CONSOLE be OK without the above initialization.
Could one please elaborate on this.
