Alexandru Gagniuc (mr.nuke.me at gmail.com) just uploaded a new patch set to gerrit, which you can find at http://review.coreboot.org/5105

-gerrit

commit 04a7dec02a2e1ebaea01e905f911bc1734abeaba
Author: Alexandru Gagniuc <mr.nuke.me at gmail.com>
Date: Sun Feb 2 22:37:28 2014 -0600

    cbfstool: Eliminate global variable "arch"

Now that unused functions have been removed, the global "arch" is only
used in very few places. We can pack "arch" in the "param" structure
and pass it down to where it is actually used.
