After a brief email exchange with Stefan he suggested I post my request to this mailing list.  So here I am...

We tested flashrom on a number of our POS systems last year, (it was not the most current release if flashrom at the time, whatever SUSE have bundled in their RPMs) and it didn't seem to support any of the BIOS flash chips in our POS systems.  However, after emailing Stefan I went back and complied and loaded up v0.9.5.2-r1515 and it looks like you guys have been very busy!

There seems to only be one system that we use that is not auto detecting the flash chip.  It is the 4800-783 mentioned in the subject of my email.  We have a large number of IBM 4800-783 SurePOS 700 systems spread across several countries and it would be nice to have a way to remotely update the BIOS on them.  

I've attached the output from 'flashrom -V', 'lspci -nnvvvxxx', and 'superiotool -deV'.  Stefan said this would be a good starting point for anyone that might be interested in taking a look.

Please let me know if you think this could be easily added to flashrom.
