You misspelled the chip name in the command to write. Your log shows you correctly said "MT25QL128" when reading the chip initially (which worked), but then wrote "MT25Q128" (missing the 'L') in the command to write.

Dear flashroom.org  friends.

I am the owner of a HP Compact 8300 Elite Microtower and I tryed to follow the instructions of Paul Murana below,  to modify the BIOS of my PC so that it allows the Start from a NVMe SSD.

All good, but I've got an error in the very last step: flashing the corrected bin file (nvme.bin) .

The error is:
      Error: Unknown chip 'MT25Q128' specified.

The computer remainis ok, but the corrected BIOS could not be flashed.

Any ideas of what migh have gone wrong?

I previosly updated the BIOS to the version K01 v03 08 and installed a jumper cap into the FDO.

You can find attached the outpot of the terminal log and below the Specs of my PC.

I want to take the chance to give a big thanks to Pauli for his work and sharing his knowledge, and to you for yor kind sppport.

Best Regards,
Manuel dRC
