UPDATE: The problem is partially resolved.

I flashed the backup file without any errors. I rebooted and everything was fine.

But still, I can't flash the new image.

I think some sections of EEPROM are locked for writing (for example, the booting logo). Could it be?

It is an OEM PC. I just wanted to replace the OEM BIOS with the original one. I have checked the formats, the headers of the backup file and the downloaded one are equal.

Well, I'll have big problems if this PC won't boot up. At least I will need to pay a bunch of money for repair or wait for the programmer to arrive.
