Hi,
I am trying to patch my BIOS. To do so, I am trying to flash a patched image of my BIOS.
Unfortunaltely, when I flash the image, I keep having the same error :

Verifying flash... FAILED at 0x00000010! Expected=0x5a, Found=0xff, failed byte count from 0x00000000-0x00ffffff: 0xa81085
Your flash chip is in an unknown state.

WP and HOLD are linked to 3.3V (as mentionned in the W25Q128 datasheet)

I saw this mail archive where Shane has the exact same problem.
Therefore, I believe I have a write protection problem (as I always have the same error byte at the same address).

Shane solved his problem using the flashrom GUI. I know it is not maintained anymore, but I can't even find an archive. Do you know where I could find one ?

Also, I see in the datasheet that I can send specific instructions to my EEPROM. I believe flashrom sends automatically these instructions, but is there a way for me to check that my chip is not stuck in readonly for example ?
