How good is the FSP code with a new board?
I have an SNB board and I'm curious as to how much blood will be on the walls if I try to use an FSB-based coreboot image with it. The data points collected on #coreboot indicate that you're better off with the Google mrc.bin.
The data is so strong that I think there's a need to wrap FSP in an mrc.bin-style interface to localize the damage inflicted by future platforms to the poor soul that gets to work on the wrapper. But if you're truly interested in trying FSP, rest assured that I'm in no way trying to discourage you. Oh no, I don't want to try FSP, I just want to do the thing that's the least work for me, and it sounds like Google mrc.bin is what I want, since I know where to find it :-) Thanks ron
