Have you tried making this change? Do you have any patches? Just currious, but are you trying to set a debug port? I just started looking at the microsoft dbg2 acpi field.

in theory (I've just checked the code, never tried) the Linux driver
supports MMIO UARTs too if you give it the same entry (PNP0501) with
a memory resource instead of the io ports.

Maybe this works in other OS' too?
